Phone records,
matched to your client’s data.
Have a matter involving the suspected taking of a customer list, a supplier list or other CRM data? If you hold subpoenaed carrier records, phones or tablets, or forensic images of them, we match them against your client’s data and give you the date, time and direction of every communication. Expert witness grade or analysis grade. Ten working days is standard. Price any matter yourself, whenever you want, through our pricing system. Used in Supreme Court of NSW proceedings, including expert evidence given at final hearing
What you receive
Every engagement includes all of this
There are no separate charges for the workbook, the PDF or the covering note. They are the deliverable.
Deduplicated records
Carrier productions repeat rows. We remove the duplicates and state how many we removed, so your figures reconcile.
A timeline for every record
We place each communication in sequence. You can read a pattern across days or months straight off the schedule.
Matches, with direction
Every match against your list, with the date, the time and whether the communication was outgoing or incoming.
Non-matches reported
A pleaded number that does not appear in the production is itself a finding. We report it as one and state the basis.
Line-numbered sources
Every input source carries a line number. You can cite any single row in a pleading, an affidavit or a submission. It makes the link between your client’s data and the subpoenaed records easy to show.
Workbook and numbered PDF
An Excel workbook to work from, and a numbered PDF for an annexure or the court book. Plus a covering note on method, sources and limits, in detail appropriate to the task.
Tell us which level you need
The difference in price is substantial, so we confirm the deliverable before we quote.
Level 1. Schedule for the file
For your own use in a matter. This is not an expert report. There is no expert certificate, and no Expert Witness Code of Conduct obligations attach to it. It suits Local Court matters, pre-litigation work, and matters where the analysis informs the case without being filed.
Level 2. Court-ready expert report
A report prepared for filing, with an expert certificate under the applicable Expert Witness Code of Conduct and a supporting workbook of matched records. A named Australian expert signs it and is available for cross-examination.
Level 1 converts to Level 2
A schedule prepared for the file can become evidence later. We quote you the difference. The production and the match are already done.
Pricing
What changes the price
What takes the time is format complexity. A production of 3,000 records and one of 40,000 are priced the same. Past 50,000 the work changes shape and we say so up front.
Number of carriers
Each carrier produces a different format. A second carrier means a second parse, and that is where the work sits.
Number of target numbers
Each additional target number, and each additional respondent whose numbers are in scope.
Size of the list to match against
Up to 30 entries is standard. We price larger lists in bands, and we tell you which band you are in before you commit.
Whether we extract the data
If your client can export the practice or CRM records, that is included. If we have to obtain access and extract them, we price that separately as collection work.
Devices to extract from
Phones, tablets and computers are priced per device. If you send us forensic images already taken, there is no collection charge.
Productions over 50,000 records
Up to 50,000 records the size makes no difference. Above that we cannot check every row back to the raw data, so we sample. A larger production carries more date ranges, more source files and more format variants, and each one needs its own sample, so the checking grows with the size. Priced in blocks, and we tell you which block you are in before you commit.
What we will ask you
Answering these turns a two-day quote into a twenty-minute one.
What is the relevant period?
In your client’s own words. The production window is rarely the pleaded window. If the conduct sits outside it, you will need further subpoenas before this work helps.
Does every entry on your list carry a number?
We cannot search a blank entry. We quote the searchable count and tell you which entries we could not search.
Are there second, third or further respondents?
And are their numbers in scope. Where a group of staff acted together, we price each additional set of numbers.
Schedule, or expert report?
Level 1 or Level 2 above. This is the single largest factor in what it costs.
When do you need it?
Ten working days is standard from receipt of a complete production. We quote shorter timeframes on inspection.

Tell us about the matter and we will approve and send your login within one business day. It prices any matter from your own answers, as often as you need, so you can give your client a figure without waiting on us. Access is for your firm and we do not publish it. Any figure it produces is indicative, and subject to our inspection of the production.
